Sorrry to learn Ann is gone. We dated for a while. She was nicer to me than I deserved. I don't think I properly thanked her for editing and typing my papers, and now I can't.
Ann was the Idyll Copy Editor and a great classmate. She corrected my submissions to the sports section on many occasions, and I appreciated it. Having just read her comments in my copy of the annual, it all comes back to me now how patient, tolerant and diplomatic she was.
Ann was the first wife of the band director at San Marcos High School, where I was Science Dept. Chair. She died in 2001 from health issues related to tobacco use.
